Six years ago I signed Jake up for Maker’s Mark’s free ambassador program & today we were able to visit the distillery and partake in the “Ambassador Graduation”. If you’re wondering what the heck this means and how you can become an ambassador too, read on. When you become an ambassador, Maker’s will put your name on a barrel and six years later you will receive a golden ticket proclaiming that your barrel is ready to be poured! Your Golden Ticket includes a free tour for you and a guest (over $40 value) and a tasting! You also get a chance to dip your own bottle (with your name on it) in the trademark Maker’s Mark red wax! Six years may feel like a long time but the time is going to pass anyway, so why not do it? Additionally, every year for Christmas, Maker’s will send you a fun gift! We’ve received playing cards with recipes, socks with Maker’s bottles on them, and more! Visit the Maker’s Mark website to sign up or learn more🙌🏽 Ps. This is not sponsored by Maker’s. We just enjoyed our experience so much that I wanted to share it with you!

Celebrating #nationalbourbonday right today with @makersmark 😎Earlier this week I had fun learning how to make an Old Fashioned for the first time. I'll be sharing some tips and tricks tomorrow on AmyWestTravel.com . Until then cheers.#ad #makers46

POV: when your husband loves bourbon, of course you love it, too!!!!! Maker's Mark was unbelievable 😍😍😍 I mean totally blew my mind. We have been to wineries, breweries, and distilleries all over the world and this place is definitely on top! My husband @squirrelgym became a Maker's Mark Ambassador 8 years ago and there was a barrel of bourbon started with his name and other fellow ambassadors during the same time. We patiently waited for years, and this year was the year!!!!!! His barrel was ready. So here we are, our first trip to bourbon country and super stoked. The history of Maker's Mark, the tour, the bourbon, the property was phenomenal. I am now a full fledged bourbon lover ❤️ @makersmark 📍 3350 Burks Spring Rd Loretto, KY Tag a friend who loves bourbon drink 😉 and follow me for more on how to have your cake and eat it too @motivationwithmichelle #bourbon #makersmark #bourboncountry #lovetheweekend #liveyourbestlife #liveintentionally #makingmemories #ambassador #haveyourcakeandeatittoo

#ad @MakersMark is making one small town remarkable this holiday season by decking it out with all the sparkle and magic of the holidays—bright lights, dazzling ornaments, window dressing and all. I nominate my hometown of Greenville, South Carolina because it’s a true hidden gem. In the heart of downtown, Falls Park offers incredible views surrounded by beautiful plants, amazing restaurants, and friendly people. A walk down Main Street is like no other….It’s no surprise it’s earned endless accolades! #MakeItRemarkable To enter your small town 1) post a photo of your town; 2) tell why it’s remarkable with town and state; 3) tag @MakersMark; 4) Use #MakeItRemarkable No purchase necessary. Holiday gifting just got a whole lot easier with BevMo!'s prepackaged gift sets. I was pretty excited when I found this set with a woodsy looking finish on the cocktail shaker, a nice jigger, and bottle of bourbon to get the cocktail making started! I knew immediately the perfect recipient of this gift set. Whether you're looking for a gift set just like this, or need some variety, there are a ton of great options in-store. And if you're looking for some holiday cocktail making inspiration before you head to @bevmo_co , check out my latest blog post on what the local restaurants are making. POV: When you are beginning a month with lots of travel, you start with bourbon country! Kicked off June with a bang with the sole purpose of visiting Maker's Mark in Loretto, KY. My husband has been an ambassador for several years, and his bourbon was finally ready!!! Without a real plan for the day, we decided our first stop would be Bardstown Bourbon Company. The sophisticated aesthetic was simply the best! We stayed for an old fashion and coffee 😃 (that was our breakfast) 📍 1500 Parkway Dr, Bardstown, KY 40004 Then, we headed to our planned destination, Maker's Mark and took their tour. The distillery is filled with rich history, and they really took pride in their bourbon. We enjoyed mint juleps and the tasting at the end of tour. The country setting of this distillery was charming. 📍 3350 Burks Spring Rd, Loretto, KY 40037 Our last distillery stop was James Beam and like Maker's Mark has a long standing history. We stopped into their restaurant for some much needed food. The dumplings were super delish!!!! Met some sweet Filipino staff 🇵🇭 which made my heart full. 📍 568 Happy Hollow Rd, Clermont, KY 40110 I highly recommend these 3 stops on the bourbon trail! Easily fit them into a day and each one gorgeous & unique. The country drive is also a bonus and absolutely beautiful. 🌟 Tag someone who loves Bourbon 🌟 Bookmark this reel for your next KY trip 🌟 Follow me for more on how to have your cake 🎂 and eat it too 😋 #bourbon #bourboncountry #newplaces #traveladventures #liveyourbestlife #haveyourcakeandeatittoo
