POV: When you are beginning a month with lots of travel, you start with bourbon country! Kicked off June with a bang with the sole purpose of visiting Maker's Mark in Loretto, KY. My husband has been an ambassador for several years, and his bourbon was finally ready!!! Without a real plan for the day, we decided our first stop would be Bardstown Bourbon Company. The sophisticated aesthetic was simply the best! We stayed for an old fashion and coffee 😃 (that was our breakfast) 📍 1500 Parkway Dr, Bardstown, KY 40004 Then, we headed to our planned destination, Maker's Mark and took their tour. The distillery is filled with rich history, and they really took pride in their bourbon. We enjoyed mint juleps and the tasting at the end of tour. The country setting of this distillery was charming. 📍 3350 Burks Spring Rd, Loretto, KY 40037 Our last distillery stop was James Beam and like Maker's Mark has a long standing history. We stopped into their restaurant for some much needed food. The dumplings were super delish!!!! Met some sweet Filipino staff 🇵🇭 which made my heart full. 📍 568 Happy Hollow Rd, Clermont, KY 40110 I highly recommend these 3 stops on the bourbon trail! Easily fit them into a day and each one gorgeous & unique.
